They joined Philip on July 20th to talk about the Dangers of Medical Myths. Medical myths such as the MMR Measles vaccine causes autism are very dangerous to the quality of life for Autistic people. There is a myth that is more recent. There are law firms that are soliciting clients for a law suit against Tylenol and any other brand that uses the pain killer acetaminophen. The claim is that women who become pregnant and take a pain and fever relief medicine have given birth to (or risk giving birth) to Autistic children and/or ADHD children. Myths like these encourage biases about Autism being something that was "caught" and is therefore curable and/or preventable. Philip, Nicola and Robert talk with each other about why these myths are so dangerous.
